The Legislative Task Force created by House Bill 238 has been charged with making recommendations to the Legislature by January 1, 2008 on funding for at-risk programs, Pre-K Early Childhood, mentoring, dyslexia and other learning challenges.
The following stakeholder white papers include some of those presented to the Task Force during recent hearings. The next scheduled hearing of the taskforce is scheduled for October 30, 2008 at 10 a.m. in Room 216 at the Capitol. During this meeting the Mississippi Department of Education will present a report on how districts are spending their "at-risk" funds. The public is invited to attend.
