Dallas Breen is a Senior Research Associate at the John C. Stennis Institute at and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University. Dallas is responsible for redistricting for multiple counties, justice courts, constables, voting districts, and school districts across Mississippi. Additionally, his responsibilities include statistical analysis, demography, and grant writing. Dallas is also responsible for survey development and research analysis for the Institute, with the reintroduction of the survey center within the Institute.
Dallas is currently finalizing an emergency management alert systems project through the Department of Homeland Security’s Southeast Region Research Initiative (SERRI) program entitled, “Utilization of Emergency Alert Systems: An Analysis of Oktibbeha County and Mississippi State University Alert Systems.” The project is one of 3 recent projects for which Dallas was the principal investigator, adding to his work in emergency management in the southeast region.
Dallas is currently a member of multiple associations including Pi Alpha Alpha (honorary public administration society), American Society of Public Administration, Southern Political Science Association, Mississippi Political Science Association, Omicron Delta Epsilon (honorary economics society), and many others. Dallas also currently serves as the faculty advisor for the Delta Chi Fraternity at Mississippi State University. Dallas is a founding member of the MSU Lacrosse Club team. He holds a B.B.A in Corporate Finance, an M.P.P.A in Public Policy and Administration, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Administration. He and his wife Lacey are the proud parents of their newborn son, Cayden Joseph.
